Warrumbungles Glass
House
The Glass House is close to Warrumbungle National
Park, on a twenty-minute
drive along a picturesque country road from the town of Coonabarabran,
in north-western New South Wales.
The Studio is the source of the Harvey-Walker family’s
glass art creations in leadlight and kiln-fired forms, art supplies and books, and the
site of weekend workshops in leadlight
and other visual arts.
The Iris nursery offers iris plants, both in
flowering season (October), and outside it. Please ring 6842-1446 for visits in season, and sales.
The Glass House also offers the closest cottages to the National Park. These self-catering secluded retreats are rated at 3 ½ and 4 star. Kookaburra Cottage (accommodates two) and Emu Cottage (accommodates up to eight) are set among tall fragrant eucalypts in a countryside
abounding with native flora and fauna.
The Gallery and Cafe of the Glass House are now closed. Tours of the display are no longer available. The telephone number for all services is now (02) 6842-1446.
This website is under reconstruction; thank you for your patience.
